About Veranneman hearing devices

Veranneman specializes in helping people who suffer from hearing loss. The degree of loss of hearing is considered in relation to a normally functioning ear. After having tested your hearing (audio test), we provide you with a suitable hearing device.

It is often possible to determine where in the ear the loss of hearing is caused. This information is very important to determine the best treatment for the loss.

WHY SHOULD I WEAR HEARING AIDS?

Hearing impairment is primarily a social problem. Parties and meetings are avoided, misunderstandings arise due to the misunderstanding of the interlocutors, doorbells and telephone rings are not heard, ...

All this leads to social isolation. Wearing hearing aids can enrich life again.

WHEN SHOULD I START WEARING HEARING AIDS?

The sooner you start wearing hearing aids, the better. If you wait until you have a severe hearing loss, it becomes much more difficult to get used to all kinds of sounds. Someone who wears hearing aids for the first time is suddenly confronted with sounds that have not been heard for a long time. The sooner you wear hearing aids, the better the brain can adapt to the 'new' listening world. By continuing to stimulate the brain, hearing is also less likely to deteriorate.

SHOULD I WEAR ONE OR TWO HEARING AIDS?

If both ears have a hearing loss, it is better to wear two hearing aids. A hearing aid on each ear gives you the advantage of being able to track where the sound is coming from. The binaural hearing aid fitting makes it easier to distinguish sounds in noisy environments, resulting in better speech understanding.

By wearing a hearing aid on both ears, we counteract the deprivation effect. This means that hearing deteriorates faster if it is not stimulated.
